DIY Storage Box out of a Kleenex Box

So I needed something for my cabinet to hold my cotton balls and q-tips, things like that. So I decided to use my Kleenex box that I was just about to throw away. Good thing this idea came at the right time!
First you will need these items:
  • Kleenex Box
  • Scissors
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Duct tape (color of your choice)

First start of with a Kleenex box and cut the top of so it looks like this. (Make sure you keep the scraps, you might need them!)

Next go measure how big you need it, that is if you want to fit it into a cabinet or not. If you like the size it is you can leave it how it is. I needed to cut mine to fit into my cabinet.

After than I cut off the edges of the small chunk of the box and hot glued the side of it to the large part of the box so it made a complete box again.

Next, I took the scraps that I have cut off the box and made three pieces all the same size that will fit in the box. If you don't have enough scraps get more card board or something else that will work as dividers. Glue those extra pieces in so you have three sections. (you can make more or less sections) This is how mine turned out

After that I wanted to decorate my box so it was pretty. I chose duct tape to decorate it, but you can use scrap booking paper, paint, other craft things, or you can even just leave the box how it is if you like the colors of the Kleenex box.

Here is my box all finished and done. I absolutley love this and wish I could make more. Enjoy!

DIY Glitter Heels

My mother had just bought a new pair of high heels. She loved them and said they were so comfortable. Plus high heels in my family just don't come around very often. Why? We are taller women and we have big feet. Which means that we don't really wear high heels because we are already so tall, and because they are hard to find in our size. Well the same week she brought them home, our family dog decided to nibble on the heels a little. Anyways, I decided that I had to fix them for her being the awesome daughter that I am lol. So I saw and idea that adds glitter to the shoe. Here is how to do it!

What you will need:
  • Mod Podge
  • Glittler
  • Shoe
  • Paint Brush
  • Newspaper
This is what the shoes looked like before they were chewed up by our doggy!

Next, you can either mix mod podge with the glitter in a bowl or you can just paint on the modge podge and shake the glitter on. This is the stuff that I used, except I recommend using the gloss modge podge, not the matte!

Here is what is should look like and what it use to look like. I just love how they turned out and so did my mom!!

After they dry. apply a clear coat, I'm not sure what its called exaclty, but I know its in a spray paint can. Its not a must to do this, but it will help hold the glitter on.
